Delicious Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup oatmeal

Directions:
1.) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

2.) In a large bowl mix shortening, margarine, peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until mixture is blended well and smooth. Next, beat in eggs one at a time and combine.

3.) In another bowl, combine the baking soda, salt and flour. Once it is combines, slowly add is to the peanut butter mixture until everything is blended. Then add the oatmeal and mix.

4.) On an ungreased cookie sheet, place tablespoons of the mixture onto the sheet.
Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until they are light brown.

Once they are done, you can store them in an  airtight container or enjoy them fresh out the oven

    1. Oh they are. My husband and children go crazy over these cookies. I made a batch of these cookies for a family get together and they were gone by the end of the night.

  4. I love peanut butter, and I love oatmeal... and I have NEVER thought of combining the 2! I will try these with the children this weekend... we may add some mini chocolate chips, too!!!!!
