Happy Green Life Cloth Diaper Detergent Review and Giveaway

Maryam Z | 10:53 AM | | | |

About A Happy Green Life:
Happy Green Life started making natural laundry detergent for many reasons. They need to find a detergent that was safe, worked effectively and be able to get the stink out. They also didn't want to buy a separate soap for cloth diapers and laundry. So after a lot of research and vigorous testing they have created an all natural laundry detergent that can be used on both clothes and cloth diapers.

They are currently working on adding a lot of great green products to their line up. Most of their products are made by them (a happy green life), but some are from other small businesses from across the country. They support American made products and businesses when possible. Thy also have a blog where you can find tips for living a happy green life.

About their detergent:
A Happy Green Life detergent is formulated to be the greenest, most effective natural detergent. It's designed to be gentle enough on cloth diapers, but tough enough to remove those tough stains in your clothes. Their detergent is made from naturally occurring chemicals and compounds such as Sodium, Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Sodium Percarbonate. These chemicals are mixed together and then specially formulated essential oils or fragrance oils are added and re-mixed.

They use both 100% natural essential oils as well as synthetic fragrance oils to send the laundry. The scented oils that they offer are not tested on animals and are formulated according to safety assessments made by the Panel of experts of the (RIFM)Research Institute for Fragrance Materials and are carefully reviewed by the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) Scientific Committee. A Happy Green Lifes scents are designed to evaporate and not build up in your clothing.

My review:
I had received three samples of the Happy Green Life detergent to review. The scents I chose were: Beach Baby, Bird of Paradise, and Lilac. Great scents by the way. I could even smell the detergent through the package it came in. I wonder if the mail man had even noticed it as well... He had to have, lol. I remember going up to the mail box to check the mail (obviously), lol, and I noticed a fresh aroma coming through. Well, I opened the package and there was the detergent.

There was enough for 2 washes in each packet. For me it was 2 washes in each. I hand wash the cloth diapers because there is no washer and dryer at the moment and the laundry mat does become a bit "pricey"....

As for the detergent, I would have to say it does a swell job. It get's all of the funk out of the diapers and it cleans them very well too. The directions are simple, the detergent is easy to use, and does it does the job. As for the aroma, l-o-v-e it!!!! The great thing about it too is that it does not have a strong "kick you in the nose" aroma, it's a light, breezy and fresh aroma. I really enjoy using the Happy Green Life Detergent.
