Nutrisystem Journey Week 1

Welcome to my first week update on my Nutrisystem Journey. Well, so far the first week has been a great week for me. A lot has changed physically and mentally. Now I had mentioned in my introduction/announcement post that I over eat, I am 195lbs and so on. Let me just say a lot of that has changed. I know it's only been a week into the Nutrisystem program and I feel.... better! Not only do I feel better physically, but I also feel more confident in myself compared to before.

Before I would eat, eat, sit, move a bit to do some cleaning, eat, sleep, eat and so on. Now I do more than just that, lol. I follow the Nutrisystem food plan which contains their foods that they send out and then I add foods of my own as well. Foods that I add of my own are foods that are on the Nutrisystem shopping list and that tells you what you can eat. It's a big list, so you have a wide selection of great foods that you can add to your diet.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed in the amount of food that I was eating for breakfast lunch and dinner because of how small the portions are. I was used to eating two to three times the amount I am given with Nutrisystem. It was hard on me at first because I was extremely hungry. I literally had to fight with myself to no eat anything else then what was on the diet. There were a few times I came so close to breaking my diet but I kept telling myself that the only way I can lose this weight is if I follow through. Instead of eating I chose to just drink water and it worked. After about the second or third day my body got used to the portions and not over eating that now when I do eat the Nutrisystem food and snacks I include that I become full.

I thought that it would have taken a long time for my body to get used to this diet, but it actually happened so quick that I don't even feel like I am on a diet anymore. The portions become so filling that I don't even want to eat anything later in the day after my dinner and dessert. That right there is a big accomplishment.
There is also the Daily 3 which I have to do everyday of course. The Daily 3 are small workouts such as walking, Pilates  yoga and so on. This helps to burn off those calories to help you lose the weight.

The first 2 days or so I didn't do my daily 3. I tried more cleaning and keeping myself active by moving around a lot more. To be honest it was a bit hard on because like I said before, I didn't really do much. I was plastered to the computer all the time and if I wasn't doing that I was watching TV; which, is not very good at all... Since I have been trying to keep more active, I have been putting the TV and computer off, not completely though, lol. Working out has become much easier on me since I have become more active, I am not as exhausted as I used to be, and I don't crave junk food like I did before.

So as you can see I have lost 7.8lbs in just a week! That is a lot to lose in a week. 47.2 more pounds to go =)
