About the Frego containers:
Frego's unique silicon and glass food storage and preparation containers and the safest and the healthiest choice. With the translucent lids and four great colors - blue, orange, lime green and honeysuckle, Frego is a durable convenience with a conscience. They are made from toxic-free materials by socially responsible manufacturers. They can be stored in the freezer, fridge, put in the microwave, oven and even the dishwasher.

Unlike any other food storage container, Frego utilizes the two most inert materials - glass and food grade silicone. The container is dishwasher safe and can be placed in the top or the bottom rack. There is no BPA, PVC, Polystyrene or Lead. Each Frego container hold up to 2 cups of food, the perfect size for lunch on the go, a sandwich or a cup of soup.

SoftSnap Lid:

  • The double-seal SoftSnap lid prevents any spills and protects your food from spoiling by creating a virtually airtight seal with both the glass bowl and the silicone sleeve.
  • The see though lid, which is made from Frego's proprietary easy clean silicone is dishwasher safe.
  • When using the lid in the microwave, always vent before heating.

Silicone Sleeve:

  • The Patent Pending air-space cushion is designed to reduce heat transfer, protecting your hands from potentially painful burns.
  • The Grippy silicone won't slip out of your hands or slide off the table.
  • There is a variety of vibrant colors.
  • With the lid on the sleeve, if you were to drop the container, the air-space cushion design makes Frego virtually spill proof and incredibly break resistant.

Frego Glass:

  • The glass keeps your food fresh and sits snugly inside of the silicone sleeve.
  • The borosilicate glass offers a better thermal range than most of the commonly used consumer glass products available today. The glass is safe from -40 °F up to 464 °F.
  • You can heat it in the microwave or the oven, and with the silicon sleeve, transfer it to the table without the worry of burning fingers or scorching the table top.
  • Manufactured to exacting standards, Frego glass is lead free, exceptionally durable and break resistant.
My Review:
Out of every container we have used, nothing beats the Frego food and storage container. It's the perfect fit for any lunch! I've used it for storing any left overs in the fridge, heating up a small dish in the oven or even in the microwave. The container comes in handy for many things. My husband has used it a few times in his lunches and he's shocked by what it can do, lol. I remember when I first received it for review and I told my husband about it, he seemed iffy. He's not one to want to try new things and is skeptical about what I get.

When I showed him what the container does and how it works, he wanted to try it out with his lunch. Well, he came home the day he used it and he was amazed! He told me that its convenient and he enjoyed having a nice hot lunch. The neat thing about the Frego container is that when you are using it in the microwave, the silicon lid can be place on the glass making the food heat a lot quicker and evenly. Normally when it comes to heating anything in the microwave, we usually use a bowl or a plate and it does a half butt job...
Majority of the time we have to stir the food and reheat it again in the microwave. I always thought that the microwave wasn't doing the job, but it's the dishes that we are using. Since the Frego container, microwaving food has been a lot easier and it doesn't take as long.

I love using the Frego in the oven when it comes to small dishes. It's great for a side dish or roasting some garlic. Just place the glass in the oven and heat. Once the food is done, grab some oven mitts, pull the glass out of the oven and it can be placed in the silicon sleeve. It'll keep your food nice and hot, but won't burn you or the table. Frego is definitely the way to go!
