KIND Healthy Snacks / Charity Initiative to Restore NJ-based Volunteer Firefighter's Home and Review

About KIND:
At KIND, they believe that you deserve better. They call it their brAND philosophy. You'll find that all of their snacks are pretty much the nirvana of healthful tastiness. In 2004, they started out with a variety of 8 bars and they have grown to having over 22 different bars and 6 Healthy Grain snackable clusters and a multitude of new recipes that are perfected and refined to their standards in the KIND kitchen.

My Review:
I was given a wonderful opportunity to review a few of KIND's healthy snack bars. Now, I remember before they were sent in the mail, I had just seen them on display where I work and I was quite amazed. I've heard of the bars before, but I never tried them until the review.

I received 3 types of bars: Blueberry Pecan + Fiber, Fruit and Nut Delight and Blueberry Vanilla and Cashew. I've tried many nut bars in the past and there were some good ones and than there are those that are not even worth paying for. I'm a picky person when it comes to food even though I love all types. I guess you can say that I am spoiled when it comes to my food because I am one that enjoys eating what it best not only in taste but health as well. Well, I do eat junk food as well and that is not considered a healthy snack, lol. My kids are the same way and when it comes to snacks they always want the junk over a piece fruit.

When I received the bars it was just in time for snacks and I let the kids try the KIND bars. Surprisingly the kids ate the whole thing and they asked for more. Nature Valley is one brand we normally like to get but one thing I don't like about their bars is that they are dry. It can get very messy and with 3 kids, the kitchen table and floor is just covered in crumbs.

With the KIND snack bars, they are quite tasty and there is no mess involved. They can get a bit sticky, but that's better than having to deal with crumbs all over the place. I love that the bars have a lot of flavor. When I say that they have flavor, I mean that you can taste every nuts unique taste and it's not over powered by any other flavor. They are also filling when you are looking for a light snack. I enjoy having a KIND snack bar when I am at work or at home just to calm the hunger pains until it's time for lunch or even dinner. There are times where I will have a bar for breakfast and I am good to go. I am quite pleased with the KIND bars and I am definitely getting some more for me and the kids!

KINDS latest initiative to celebrate and inspire kindness:
Well all remember a year ago the devastation the Hurricane Sandy had caused. Thousands of homes were destroyed and millions of lives changed forever. Knowing this, KIND Healthy Snacks has teamed up with Wavers for Water (clean water organization) to gut and rebuild a NJ-based volunteer firefighter's home. This was one of the places that was completely destroyed by the hurricane.

Through its "Do the KIND Thing Mission" KIND was able to donate their time and $10,000 to the restoration. While $10,000 will help, KIND is asking you and looking to the community to get involved by sharing this Youtube below to help shed the light on the destitution that so many people are still living in due to Sandy. The best part is that every view = $1 more towards the firefighter's home.
