Elektrokidz by WowWee Review

When it comes to gadgets or even toys, we're always looking for whats new, trendy and of course something that fits our budget. I'm always looking for something new for the kids, but because of their age, finding something affordable and also entertaining can be a pain. My kids are so darn picky when it comes to toys or gadgets... I can't even count how many times I've gotten them something new and they've only played with the toy once and it was never touched again. I guess it also depends on what the toy is and what it does. I recently received a new product from WowWee called Elektrokidz.

Elektrokidz are the first ever music-inspired gadget that dances to the beat of your music. It doesn't matter what genre of music you play, it will jam away!

There are 6 unique Elektrokidz and each one comes in a different finish, they come with their own stylized shades and each one has it's own hair movement. The one I received is the Elekrokidz Matte Silver.

  • Music-inspired collectables that dance to the beat of any music you are listening too
  • Beat detection - picks up lowest and/or loudest frequency and moves hair to that beat
  • No wires, no need for connectivity. It simply listens for the music
  • For ages 6 and up
  • Batteries: 4 x LR44 and includes extra batteries (4 x LR44)
Sounds like a fun toy, doesn't it? My kids are all crazed up over this gadget to the point where they play with it almost daily. The first day I received the Elektokidz toy, I had some music playing and we all watched it's hair bounce up and down. After that, the kids took it over and instead of playing some music, they noticed that the toy moves when you talk and scream. Kids... lol. Here is a video showing you a demonstration on how the Elektrokidz toy works:
