Influester #ModaVoxBox and Site Review #InfluensterNation

You know, it's hard to believe I've been blogging for almost 3 years. Over the years I've done many, I mean many reviews, tons of giveaways and quite a few recipes. Not only that, I've worked with a large list of companies and that list continues to grow. To be honest, I don't think I can name everyone of them at the top of my head. Yeah, I know... I am also a member to so many different sites that offers bloggers and non-bloggers the opportunity to review and try new products for free. Some sites send you samples while others send out full sized products. Then... there are those that say they are going to send you something and you end up with an empty mailbox... I've had that happen to me many times. But out of all the sites I've joined, only a small handful stand out and one of them happens to be Influenster (member since: Oct, 2012).

Well to be honest, Influenster is actually the only site that I go to. The reason why I stuck with Influenster is not only for the freebies, but they have you interact with companies and the social world in a whole new way. Oh, you also get to earn badges for doing tasks on their site. The more you do on their site, the more badges you unlock. The more badges you unlock, the more they send products out for you to review. Basically the more active you are, the better. One of the badges I recently unlocked was for the Moda Voxbox.

As you can see from the image above, Influenster sent me a box filled with quite a few items. Every box they send out has a theme and this one is more of a beauty/health box. Below is a list of what I received along a few snippets showing you badge challenges they have you do.

Rimmel London

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara: $5.49 to $5.99
Say goodbye to quiet lashes with Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara by Rimmel London. Their first broken heart-shaped brush creates a fringe of big curvy, rockin' lashes. This cleverly-shaped applicator twists and curves to hug the lash line; the thin tip grabs the hard-to-reach inner lashes while the amplified base pushes lashes with incredible volume and curve. Lashes are plump and lifted in one clean stroke.

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick: $6.99 tp $7.49
Remmel London introduces new and improved Moisture Renew Lipstick for lips drenched in moisture and a brilliant burst of color.

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner: $5.99 to $6.49
Use new Moisture Renew Lip Liner before applying your lipstick. It is a clear lip liner that defines lips and prevents color from feathering.

MY REVIEW:
I've noticed that ever since I started blogging, I've tried more makeup than I ever did before. I've tried numerous brands and out of all of them, I'd have to say that I love Rimmel London's makeup. I did a couple reviews in the past and I believe one was for Rimmels Stay Matte Liquid Mouse Foundation and the other one was their Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara (both through influenster). The newest products I received are the ones you see above and to be honest, I fell in love with the lipstick. Now, I'm not much of a lipstick person, but... The color I received is very... How do I put it? Um, I'd say it's more like a "hey, look at this fabulous lip color" type thing. Geeze that makes no sense what so ever, lol. If you get what I mean, then you would see why I like it. As for the mascara, I love how it kinda gives my eyes that whole cats eye look. It adds thickness to the ends of the lashes and it makes them have more of an evened our look.

Puff's Kleenex

Puffs SoftPack: 1 pack for $1.99 to $2.49
Outside it's flexible design holds better than an ordinary tissue box. It's the soft Puff's tissues you love from the only national brand dermatologist tested to be gentle.

MY REVIEW:
You know, this came in the mail at the right time. This weather change here in Wisconsin SUCKS!!! Our summer came and went fast, fall visited for not even a month and now winter is here and it's getting to darn cold. But, in Wisconsin, the weather is never the same. As I was saying though, the Puffs Kleenex arrived at just the right time because I was starting to get a cold. It's the "it's cold outside, I'm going to give you a cold just to show you how much winter has missed you" type of cold. I'm still trying to get over it too. But, out of all the sneezing and snots rushing out my nose, I was enjoying the Puffs Kleenex. They are still soft on the nose, durable and they work wonders. Plus, I am digging the new pack they put the kleenex in. Grabbing the kleenex is a heck of lot easier!

Hair Food

Hair Food Moisture Mask: $14.99
As honey coats to protect and apricot oil hydrates for softness, the Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask contains essences of these ingredients, conditioning and coating each strand to help repair and smooth the protective outer layer. The formula helps provide rich moisture protection from everyday styling for smooth, manageable hair while adding softness, smoothness and radiant shine.

MY REVIEW:
OH MY GOSH!!! I am in love with Hair Food! This is by far the best product I have ever used on my hair. The smell is so delicious and the way it makes my hair feel is just amazing! Hair Food is perfect for the cold weather because it adds moisture and life back when the cold makes it frail and static. It's perfect for hair that is damaged and dry. It's quite an amazing product and I'm using my coupon for the Shampoo and conditioner.

Swiss Miss

Swiss miss's new Simply Cocoa is the perfect drink to warm up your winter. Available in milk and dark chocolate, Simply Cocoa has just five ingredients - Sugar, Cocoa, Nonfat Milk, Salt and Natural Flavor. No artificial flavors, colors of preservatives. Be sure to use hot milk when preparing Simply Cocoa for an indulgent, silky-smooth cocoa that is simply delicious

MY REVIEW:
With this cold weather, hot cocoa is definitely the perfect drink to warm you up. I grew up drinking Swiss Miss and to be honest, it's the only brand I get. I've tried other brands in the past and none of them taste as good as Swiss Miss. I love the warm chocolaty taste and it's so rich and creamy. Another thing I love doing with their hot cocoa is adding mini marshmallows or candy canes. This kids love it with marshmallows!

JERGENS Lotion

Now even better JERGENS Ultra Healing Moisturizer contains a unique illuminating HYDRALUCENCE blend and locks in moisture for up to 48 hours. Reveal visibly luminous, healthier-looking skin in just weeks.

MY REVIEW:
You can never have enough lotion in the house. I have about 5 bottles sitting on my dresser and I believe the only JERGENS bottle I have is the one I received in the VoxBox. Which isn't a bad thing. I don't think I've ever really used JERGENS much, but I have been using the lotion I have now. It's been a few days now since I've been using it and I'd have to say that it's doing quite an amazing job. My skin was starting to dry out a bit because I wash my hands more often due to the cold and flu germs that are lingering on things, plus the cold weather dries my skin out a lot. Since I started using the lotions, I've noticed my hands are feeling a lot softer than they did before and the lotion seems to do a better job than some of the other brands I have. Another thing I usually do to help the lotion soak in more is by putting it on my hands before I go to bed. This way the lotion has a few hours to absorb in the skin before gets washed off the next day.

Resource Spring Water

resource is a 100% Natural Spring Water from carefully selected sources with naturally occurring electrolytes for a clean, refreshing taste, resource comes in a bottle made with 50% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable.

MY REVIEW:
They say that water is just water. I've heard people say that tap water and bottled water is all the same thing and it's not worth the money buying bottles. In some cases bottled water is necessary because tap water can be very harmful. Back in 1993, Wisconsin had an outbreak of Crytosporidium and it ended up being the largest waterborne disease outbreak documented in US history! Yeah, um... YUK! I just happen to live in Wisconsin... There hasn't been any reports of major contaminates in the water, so everything is good. But, the one thing I have noticed about the tap water is that if your drinking it in another city, it tastes a heck of a lot different than what you are used to. To be honest. I'm more of a bottle water drinker. I gave the resource brand a try and I like it. I can't really say if it's different from the other brands though because it taste just like bottled water. I can say that resource is better than drinking Gatorade, so if you need electrolytes, I'd go with resource. There's no sugar, artificial flavoring, salts or all the other "ingredients". Plus, the bottle is recyclable and that's great for the environment.
