These kitchen gloves will be your new kitchen assistant as you bake cakes on birthdays, call up your neighbors for a barbecue and of course in your everyday kitchen chores. They are water proof and heat resistant, durable and have a slip-free design. With it's vibrant color (orange), it's easy to spot them out as you scurry around the kitchens. The silicon gloves are evidently a wiser choice over the regular mitts that burn your hands, accumulate all the oils and grill grease. One size firs all so mom, dad and junior can engage in their kitchen duties safely with the pair of silicone kitchen gloves.

What I have to say:

We all know that oven mitts are a must in the kitchen! There are so many types, designs, materials and the list goes on and on. I've noticed that silicone gloves are being used more and more not only for cooking, but also for every other household needs.

So far, I'd have to say that I prefer using the silicon gloves over the regular oven mitt. Some of you may disagree with me here, but once you've used them for a period of time, I'm sure you'd feel the same way. A friend of mine owns a pair of heat resistant gloves, but they are not like these. I think her gloves are the ones in the "As Seen on TV" commercials where you can grab firewood that is scorching hot. I've noticed she doesn't use them much unless she's grilling.

With the silicon gloves, you can use them for anything. I've done dishes with them and of course cooked with them. That's about it so far, lol. The one thing I love about the gloves is that when it touches the food I can rinse them, dry them and they will be good as new. I've gone through so many oven mitts because the material would absorb so much that it would look dingy and nasty. Pleh...

Oh geeze... Another thing I hate about regular oven mitts is the fact that they are crap when it comes to protecting you from the heat. I don't know how many times I've burned myself with the oven mitt on... I thought that maybe it was because I got one pair for a buck, but when I got a pair that cost a few more dollars, they were the same way. They do come in handy as a hot pad though so the table won't get any scorch marks. With the silicon gloves, I can grab anything and everything basically without getting burned! You may feel the warmth of the pan if you hold on it for a long period of time, but that's about it. These gloves are great for the kitchen and they are definitely worth every penny!

  1. These look wonderful to use when I'm baking so I don't burn my fingers which I tend to do.

    1. I know what you mean... And after a period of time the fabric begins to thin and then it's useless. The Silicon Gloves are nice and sturdy and they definitely protect your hands from the heat. They are also easy to clean as well.

  3. I really need to invest some money into a pair of these, especially when baking. Wonder if they are okay to use for outdoor grilling.

    1. I was thinking about giving these gloves a try sometime on the grill. I haven't used them yet, but I might over the weekend and see how they hold up when I grab the corn on the cob.

  4. I didn't realize that they could be so heat resistant. My son just got one of those huge "egg" BBQs and these would be great for him to have. It's so easy to burn yourself on one of those things.

    1. How well do those egg BBQs work? I've always wanted one of those! As for the gloves, they are great for using when grabbing things from the oven or off the hot burner. I haven't tried them on the grill yet, but I will soon!

  7. These are so nice. I have tried similar gloves and loved them but they eventually caught on fire (I use on a firepit), these would not do that, so i bet they would be perfect for my needs.

    1. They are perfect and they can really handle the heat. I've seen gloves that claim they are heat resistant and you know what, they ended up catching on fire and that was it. I haven't had any issues with these gloves and they are great for indoor and outdoor cooking.
