Not-So-Fancy Breakfast Pizza

Maryam Z | 1:53 PM |
This recipe right here is easy! I make this almost every morning for my kids and they love it.

Not-So-Fancy Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:
4 to 6 eggs
Salt to taste
Shredded cheese (any flavor!)

Optional ingredients:
Onions
Green Peppers
Ham
Bacon
Mushrooms

Directions:
  1. Grab a small to medium sized pan and spray with cooking spray. Place on burner, but do not crank the heat yet! Break eggs and add to pan. Whisk eggs together. Once eggs have been whisked, turn the heat to medium-high. Sprinkle a dash of salt on eggs for taste.
  2. Now that the eggs have been added to the pan, add your topping to the eggs. Once you've added your topping, cover the eggs and let cook for about 5 to 10 minutes or until eggs are fully cooked. While eggs are cooking, keep them covered, but check on them here and there to see how it's coming along. Do not flip or stir the pizza! Flipping or stirring the eggs will destroy the crust that forms at the bottom of the pizza! You'll know when the eggs are fully cooked because it will fluff and the center of the pizza will not wiggle when you lightly shake the pan
  3. Once pizza is cooked, place it on a plate and let sit for about 1 to 2 minutes. This allows cheese and other ingredients to settle before cutting. Cut pizza to your liking and enjoy!

  2. I love the concept of this. It's an egg pizza, kind of like an omelet, but slightly different. Great way to offer healthy ingredients!

    1. This recipe came about when my youngest wanted eggs. I was going to do scrambled, but I thought that was to... boring. So, I decided to just break the eggs up a bit, throw on some cheese and let it cook. When it was done and I put it on a plate, George comes up and says, "Mama, we're gonna have egg pizza!"

So from then on it became a ritual every morning, lol. Surprisingly, the kids will eat it with the other veggies and that's a plus! I love how simple this dish is and yes, it is a great way to offer healthy ingredients!

  16. What a wonderful idea to change the eggs you eat and the kids will likely eat more of them if they think it is a pizza, I love that you can add what you want and it looks yummy
