What is it about baking that makes it so fun? I don't know, but whenever I am in the kitchen, I enjoy doing the cooking. Well... There are times where I feel like it's a chore and I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way. Not only do I love cooking, but I love my kitchen gear as well. I can honestly say that I have way to much in the kitchen, but that's not going to stop me from adding more. Especially when it comes to products that will not only save me time, but money as well!

Now, prior to receiving these cups, I had purchased some paper ones that were on sale at my job. I was going to use them to make some cupcakes for my sons birthday, but after receiving the silicone baking cups yesterday, I figured I'd give these a shot and see how they do. Yes, my youngest sons birthday is today and I can't believe he's already 4! Where the heck does the time go?

I asked George what he wanted me to make him and he said chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. As you can see from the image above, I have the silicone cups placed in the muffin pan and the batter poured in right after. I'll leave a link to the recipe here just in case if ya want to check it out!

After I cooked the batter for 30 minutes, I let the cupcakes cool in the pan for a bit and then took them out and placed them on this aluminum sheet pan that I have. When I removed the cupcakes from the muffin tin, they were still warm. What I also noticed was that the silicone cups were cooled so I didn't feel the heat from the cup cakes when I was removing them from the pan. If I was using paper, I would have had to wait till the cupcakes were fully cooled before I could remove them from the pan.

Once all the cupcakes cooled, I frosted them with the peanut butter frosting and threw on a few Reese's pieces and BAM! The cupcakes are complete! Oh my goodness, these cakes taste amazing! The cake was nice and moist and the frosting was so fluffy and creamy. Mmmmmm. I'd have to honestly say that the silicone baking cups are by far the best things to use for your cupcakes. Just not when you making cakes for work or your kids class because then you'll never see them again, lol.

    1. Lol. It all depends on where you get them from as well. There's a store by me that sells them in a 4 pack as well, but sometimes they are a bit pricey. I enjoy these because of the colors, the amount that comes in the package and the price.
