Tiesta's Tea-riffic Tea Review

Maryam Z | 4:12 PM | | |

Tea has become a permanent staple in my life and I have to have it daily. As soon as I wake up in the morning, I get the tea in the coffee pot, add my water and let it brew. Yeah I know, I'm using a coffee pot to make my tea. We all have our own way of doing things and this just happens to be my way, lol. Since I started drinking tea, I've been on a "quest" for the perfect tea. Tea that not only tastes great, but I can afford. I've seen many tea brands that have a wide selection of tea, but is the price really worth it? I recently stumbled upon Tiesta Tea and they gave me the opportunity to work with them. Here are some of the teas they sent me to try:

Plum Bliss:
Tea Function: Slenderize
Tea Type: Oolong
Caffeine: Medium
Ingredients: Oolong tea, currents, red peppercorns, rosehips, safflowers and natural flavoring

What I think:
I'd have to say that this tea is different. I've had Oolong tea a few times in the past, but I never had it mixed with anything. The taste of the tea with the currents was a bit tart. It's not a pungent or bitter tart, it's just has a little kick to it. It's not as bad as I thought and I did like this tea a lot.

Tea Function: Relaxer
Tea Type: Herbal Tea
Caffeine: None
Ingredients: Chamomile and lemon myrtle leaf

What I think:
I've always been a fan of Chamomile tea. The aroma of the tea is so relaxing and whenever I have a glass, I feel calm and relieved. Well, that's why this tea is the Relaxer, lol. I don't drink chamomile as very often because it puts me to sleep. It's a tea I usually drink when I'm sick with a cold or just need a good nights rest. The lemon myrtle leaf mixed with the chamomile adds an unbelievable taste. I will admit I've eaten a few of the lemon leaves. It kinds tastes like Lemon Heads. I know, strange, but they taste amazing!

Tea Function: Eternity
Tea Type: Green Tea
Caffeine: Mild
Ingredients: Green tea, gojiberries, lemon grass, pomegranate seeds and natural flavoring

What I think:
The Gojiberry tea has a very sweet aroma. It's almost like smelling potpourri, but it's potpourri you can drink. As for the tea, it tastes like it smells. Fruity and sweet. It's not a sweet like candy sweet, it's a natural sweet from the gojiberries and the pomegranate. The lemon grass also adds a nice balance to the tea.

Earl Grey De La Creme Tea:
Tea Function: Energizer
Tea Type: Black Tea
Caffeine: High
Ingredients: Black tea, vanilla flavoring, blue mallow blossoms and natural flavoring

What I think:
I don't know where to start with this tea. The smell of this tea is so aromatic that you can smell it through the tin. Yes, it's strong! As for the taste, oh my goodness! This tea is one of my favorites and I don't go a day without having a glass. It's smooth, has the right amount of sweetness, the vanilla flavoring blends in so nicely with the black tea. There's no bitter taste what so ever! To be honest, I finished up this tin pretty quick and I've purchase quite a few pouches already from my grocery store. I'm just bummed that this tea hasn't been in stock lately... I'm gonna have to look somewhere else or just get some online.

Red Rose Roobios:
Tea Function: Immunity
Tea Type: Rooibos Tea
Caffeine: None
Ingredients: Rooibos, linden blossoms, rose petals, orange bits, lemon bits, natural flavoring

What I think:
Honestly.... I don't care much for this tea. I've never had rooibos tea before and honestly don't think it's something I'd drink often. I've only had this tea a couple times and I just... I don't care for it. It reminds me of medicine. The only time I drink this tea would have to be when I'm sick. That's pretty much the only time. "It's not my cup of tea".

Overall, the teas are definitely worth trying out for yourself. I'm a tea fanatic and I can tell you that Tiesta Tea is worth every penny and I will be going back for more!

  1. These sound good. I'd like to try all of them except the Roobios. I've had Roobios tea before and I don't think they could add anything that would make me like it. The Earl Grey sounds especially good to me.

    1. You know, I don't think I'd ever get used to Roobios tea. I mean, it's not that bad, but it's not something I'd want to drink all the time. I am a big fan of Earl Grey tea and the one I received for review is by far the best I've ever had!

  16. I've never really developed a taste for coffee. Guess you could say I'm a lifelong tea toddler. I have one of my daughters hooked on tea, too, and we both love trying new types and flavors. I'd really love to try the first one you list - the Plum Bliss.

    1. It all depends on the coffee I'd say. I was never much of a fan either and tea is something I prefer anytime! My youngest loves tea just as much as I do, so occasionally I'll make him a sweet fruity or herbal tea. Everyone else in my house don't care for the taste, lol. More for me than! The Plum bliss tea was great! I love the sweet taste of the tea and it has a nice blend of flavors.

    1. Your welcome. I know some people are very sensitive to caffeine and with including that info, it helps them choose a tea that's a good fit for them. Tiesta tea has all that information on each one of their teas and that's one of the things I find very helpful!

    1. To be honest, I prefer loose tea over the tea bags. Loose tea is more natural and it's full of flavor. Especially when it combines with other things as well to add more oomph to the glass.
