2015 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Review

You know, this SUV right here is by far one of the best vehicles we've driven. I'm not just saying that either! We've owned 3 vehicles (different makes and models) in the past 7 years and of course they were used, but they were nothing like this. To be honest, my husband had a hard time trying to part with this vehicle. Everyone that we know got a taste of  the Mitsubishi Outlander and NO one had anything bad to say about it!

Outside / Inside / Seating
...

First off, this SUV is irresistible! I've seen many cars, old and new on the streets and this one right here is a beaut! When Drive Shop (otherwise known as STI) dropped this vehicle off, we had neighbors popping their heads out of their windows and doors. One neighbor across the street went as far as to coming out of his house and just scoped out the Mitsubishi. Yes this is our second vehicle that we got to test drive, but the Mirage wasn't as appealing as the Outlander! Not saying that the Mirage wasn't appealing, but the Outlander is an eye catcher.

One thing we've been looking for in a vehicle is third row. With three kids, cramming them in the back seat of a standard car can become a bit claustrophobic. And with their fighting... having a third row vehicle makes it easier to separate them, lol. As for the third row, it was a bit confusing? Well, I question that because I don't know how to put it. Instead of having another door on the side or a gap in between the second row, the second row seats lean forward so someone can climb in the back. It makes it a bit harder for an adult let say and with the vehicle being higher than a car, it's a bit of a challenge. It could be the fact that we aren't use to a vehicle like this and that's why it seemed like a challenge for us, lol. But overall, everything else in the Outlander is superb!
  • The Mitsubishi Outlander seats 7 passengers and the middle seats have a 60/40 split or they can be folded flat to increase room needed for carrying any cargo. It also has a convenient 60/40 rear split second row seat combined with a 50/50 split third row seat that makes it possible to enter and exit the vehicle with a minimum fuss.
  • Power driver's seat with seat back pocket
  • Leather Seating Surfaces
  • Silver roof rails
Okay... So after looking at the specs on this SUV, we could have made things easier on ourselves when it came to the third row... I forgot that the seats in the second row fold down all the way plus move forward and that would have made things a heck of a lot easier on us, lol. Oh, and when opening the trunk of the Outlander, it opens and closes on it's own with a push of a button!

Steering Wheel Features
...

Monitor / Navigation Controls
...

The Mitsubishi Oulander GT comes in three styles. You have the Standard, Premium and Touring. The Outlander we received includes the touring package which does make the vehicle cost a bit more, but all the features it comes with is worth every penny.

In the Touring Package, the vehicle comes with:
  • Navigation system with high definition 7" Touch Screen, real times traffic, 3D mapping and mapcare which includes 2 annual map updates.
  • Lane departure warning
  • Forward collision mitigation
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • 710-watt Rockford Fosgate premium sound system with 9 speakers including 10 in sub woofer with punch control, DTS neural surround, premidia wide surround and Dolby volume.
  • Power remote tailgate
I mean, the list goes on and on. I would add each and every one of the features here, but this post would be never ending, lol. I fell in love with the navigation screen in the Outlander. For us, it was something new because all the vehicles we've had just had the basics. Some of them even had a cassette player in them as well.

With the navigation screen, you can do just about anything on it. Well, except surf the Internet. If you need to get somewhere, but aren't sure where you need to go, punch in the address of that location and the map will do the rest for you. Or, lets say you wanted to make a phone call. You can transfer all your contacts from your phone into the little navigation computer and make a safe, hands free phone call! Oh, and if you want to jam out to some tunes that you may have on your phone or iPod/iPad, the navigation system has a bluetooth set up so you can connect and jam on. There's a ton more features with the Navigation system, we just haven't had the chance to try out each and everyone of them

Basic essentials and more in the Mitsubishi Outlander GT
...

As for the basics, you have the glove compartment, cup holders, armrest with storage, pockets on the back seats of the driver and passenger seat, emergency break, visors with mirror and lights, lights located on different areas of the ceiling and a sun roof. Oh how I love the sun roof! The sun roof is another favorite of mine because not only does it offer more lighting into the vehicle, but you can gaze at the sky while someone is driving. I loved those rainy and cloudy days when we had the sunroof open!

Good 'ol downtown Milwaukee!

Here are some videos on the Mitsubishi Outlander and of course a cruise video as well:

Overall, this is by far one of the best vehicles we got to drive. Everything about the Outlander is perfect and everyone that has seen this vehicle said nothing but good about it! My husband said that he wants to get this vehicle in the future, so you never know. But this vehicle gets a 10 out of 10 from us! It's worth the drive, money and all the features that come in this vehicle are flawless! Head on over to Mitsubishi and check out the new 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander GT!

  2. This car is really roomy and I like the color of it! Once you drive a brand new car it is so hard to go back to a old used car. I would love to own a nice Outlander like this and I bet it is good in the snow!

    1. When we first received the Outlander, it was starting to snow, but nothing stuck so we didn't get to drive in the snow. But, other than that, the drive is very smooth and it feels amazing. My husband had a hard time parting with the Outlander, lol. He didn't want to go back to the van at all!

    1. The touring package would have to be a must with the Outlander. There is so much to it and with the touring package, there's a lot of benefits to it. My favorite part of the Touring package would have to be the navigation system. Someone like me who tends to get lost quite easily will be able to get around without a problem.
