Grill Brush Review #grillbrush

Oh summer time! Oh summer time! Oh how I love you summer time!

Summer time is everyones favorite time of the year. The pools are open, nature is flourishing in beautiful colors, the butterflies are fluttering around and the warm weather is calming. The one thing I enjoy most about summer is firing up the grill. Nothing beats having your food cooked over an open flame; whether it's juicy burgers, hot dogs or even some grilled vegetables. But the one thing about grilling that we have to keep up with is cleaning it.

That darn rack on the grill always manages to get dirty even if we put something on there to prevent to food from sticking. What I like to do before I fire up the grill is take a paper towel and submerge it in cooking oil. This way I can rub it on the rack. This helps, but if your cooking something like a burger that has chunks of cheese in it, the cheese sticks and it's hard to get off. After we're done grilling we scrap all the burnt pieces of food off the rack with a grill brush.

Now, not all grill brushes work the way they say they do. I have a grill brush that we bought about a year ago and it's crap... For one thing, my husband accidentally stepped in it when it was laying in the lawn and the thing snapped in half. And when it comes to cleaning, it barely gets in between the crevasses of the rack and there's chunks still left behind. Trying to remove the pieces a knife can scrape of the outer part of the rack exposing the metal which can rust later in in the future. So finding the right grill brush is key when it comes to cleaning.
One of those grill brushes that I find to be a great fit is this one from EliteChef.

What makes this grill brush different from the others?

  • HEAVY DUTY, LONG LASTING BBQ BRUSH - Thanks to the tough, all metal construction, stainless steel bristles, this brush will easily cut though any mess on your Weber grate, season after season.
  • STAY AWAY FROM THE HEAT - Extra long 17-inch handle keeps you safely away from the grill and 7-inch wide brush whisk away built-up grime effortlessly.
  • HIGH QUALITY - Sturdy stainless steel handle will not brake like wood or plastic handle grill brushes; PLUS stainless steel bristles, longer lasting than brass bristles grill brushes.
  • NEVER MISS A SPOT - Unique T-brush design allows you to get in all nooks and crannies! Leave no dirt unturned!

Basically everything you see here about this brush it spot on. I've used it a few times already and you know what? I am in love! It cleans the grill with ease and I don't have to scrape away like I do with the other brush. The fine wire bristles on this brush make it much easier to get in between the cracks of the rack and it's surprisingly comfortable with it being made of steel. Compared to the cheap plastic brush that I have, I'd have to say that this one is worth getting. It does the job smoothly and it's durable which will make it last a lot longer than the standard brush. And if it were to get stepped on, no one will be able to snap in half, lol.

    1. Lol! I am the only one that cleans and uses the grill as well. Once I started grilling my husband stopped and left me to it. Now he looks at me and says, "Can the grill master make something on the grill today?" Really? lol. The brush is fairly cheap and it does do an amazing job.

    1. It is an awesome brush and I love that it has that curve to it. And what's nice about this brush is having the fine bristles which get's into the crevasses of the rack a whole lot easier.

  4. We just were cussing at our BBQ brush for doing a horrible job. Looks like I will be getting this one instead. We grill out nearly every weekend in the summer. Sure would be nice to have a brush that cleaned the grill well.

    1. You know, I did the same thing when I was cleaning my grill. The brush we had before was crap and boy did it tick me off! All it did was just skim the top of the rack and never got in between like it was supposed to. With this brush, it does the work right and it's so much easier to manage and maneuver than the other ones.
